With more than 20 years of theatrical experience, David and Sarah Holland bring a
wealth of talent to theatres and production companies in need of:
- Set construction and set painting
- Cloth painting
- Production management and stage carpentry
Based in West Oxfordshire, DSH’s set construction and scenic painting workshop is
easily accessed by road and rail. This makes DSH the perfect choice for theatres
and production companies in London, the Midlands and the South of England.
David Holland – Set Construction, Production Management & Stage Carpentry
Trained at RADA, David Holland is highly skilled in set construction, stage carpentry,
and production management.
David has been the Master Carpenter at the Thorndyke Theatre in Leatherhead, where
he built a season of Peter Hall productions, all of which transferred to the West
End
Based in Oxfordshire since 1995, David has been building scenery for companies such
as The Redshift Theatre Company, Bath Theatre Royal, and Cambridge Arts. Recently,
David has been the Production Carpenter for the national tour of “The King and I”,
supervising transfers between theatres.
He regularly manages up to five pantomimes each season for Hiss and Boo Productions.
Sarah Holland – Scenic Artist
Sarah Holland is an accomplished stage scenery and cloth backdrop painter, working
for many of the country’s major production companies, including the Royal Shakespeare
Company (RSC) at Stratford-upon-Avon. Sarah uses her wide knowledge of materials
and scenery painting techniques to create the desired finish within budget.
