Stage Set and Scenery Painting
Sarah Holland is DSH’s accomplished and experienced scenic artist. Working with a
wide range of paints and materials, Sarah creates authentic backgrounds to meet your
set designer’s specifications and the production’s finish and budget requirements.
Sarah works with your set designer throughout the commission. This ensures your stage
sets and scenery are painted to the highest and most exacting standards.
Cloth painting commissions
Cloth painting commissions are taken independently from the hard scenery. Sarah doesn’t
specialise, working in styles and with dyes and paints depending on the required
effect.

Scene from Dangerous Obsession
Dangerous Obsession was designed for the Bath Theatre Royal by Grant Hicks, and it subsequently went on a national tour.
The biggest challenge with this project was the terra cotta floor, which was an entirely two dimensional paint effect.
